Website TermsDESIGN. BUILD. INNOVATE.

Our corporate website is designed to introduce HDL, communicate our capabilities and help people start conversations with us.

These Terms govern use of that corporate website. They do not replace project contracts, consultancy agreements, construction contracts or software subscription agreements.

HDL products such as BuildTrack may therefore have separate legal terms appropriate to how those products are actually used.

01

About These Terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the corporate website operated by HDL Design & Technologies Limited ("HDL", "we", "us" or "our").

By accessing or using this website, you agree to use it in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should discontinue use of the website.

02

Purpose of the Website

The HDL website provides general information about our company, capabilities, projects, products and services across architecture, construction, engineering and technology.

The website may also allow visitors to contact HDL, submit project enquiries and express interest in our services or products.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, information on this corporate website is provided for general informational and business communication purposes.

03

Project Enquiries

Submitting an enquiry through the HDL website does not, by itself, create a client, contractor, consultant, partnership, employment or other contractual relationship between you and HDL.

A project or professional engagement will only proceed after the relevant parties agree on appropriate terms, which may include scope, responsibilities, fees, timelines, deliverables and other project-specific conditions.

HDL may accept, decline or request additional information regarding an enquiry at its discretion, subject to applicable law.

04

No Professional Advice

Information presented on the website is not a substitute for project-specific architectural, engineering, construction, financial, legal or other professional advice.

Built-environment projects depend on factors such as site conditions, regulations, specifications, design requirements, professional review and local circumstances.

You should not rely solely on general website content when making decisions that require qualified professional assessment.

05

Accuracy of Information

We aim to present clear and useful information about HDL and our work. However, website information may occasionally contain omissions, errors or information that becomes outdated.

We may update, correct, replace or remove website content without prior notice.

Project images, diagrams, interface mockups, concepts and visualizations may be used to illustrate capabilities or products and should not automatically be interpreted as final construction documents, contractual deliverables or completed projects.

06

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the HDL website and its original content may include intellectual property owned by or licensed to HDL Design & Technologies Limited.

This may include:

  • HDL names, branding, logos and visual identity.
  • Website design, layouts and graphical elements.
  • Original text and written material.
  • Architectural drawings and design material owned by HDL.
  • Renderings, diagrams and visualizations.
  • Product names, product interfaces and software-related material.
  • Photographs and project material where HDL owns or has permission to use them.

You may view the website for lawful personal or business informational purposes. You may not reproduce, commercially exploit, republish, distribute or falsely present HDL content as your own without appropriate permission, except where applicable law permits otherwise.

07

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the HDL website or interfere with its normal operation.

You must not knowingly use the website to:

  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, servers or data.
  • Circumvent website security or access controls.
  • Introduce malware, harmful code or other disruptive material.
  • Interfere with website availability or performance.
  • Submit fraudulent, misleading or unlawful information.
  • Impersonate another individual or organization.
  • Use automated systems in a manner that materially disrupts or overloads the website.
  • Use the website for conduct prohibited by applicable law.
08

Third-Party Services

The HDL website may use or link to services operated by third parties, including infrastructure, hosting, communications, mapping, social media or other technology providers.

Third-party websites and services operate under their own terms, policies and practices.

HDL is not responsible for content or practices controlled independently by those third parties, except to the extent required by applicable law.

09

BuildTrack and Other HDL Products

BuildTrack is a product of HDL Design & Technologies Limited.

References to BuildTrack on this corporate website are intended to provide general product information.

Use of the BuildTrack application or other future HDL software products may be governed by separate terms of service, subscription terms, privacy policies and other product-specific agreements.

Where product-specific terms apply, those terms will govern your use of the relevant product in addition to any provisions that expressly remain applicable from these website Terms.

10

Website Availability

We aim to keep the HDL website available and operating reliably, but continuous or uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

The website may temporarily become unavailable because of maintenance, development, infrastructure changes, service provider issues, security measures or other circumstances.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the website where reasonably necessary.

11

Security

HDL may implement reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect its website and systems.

No internet service or electronic communication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Visitors should take reasonable precautions when using online services and should not submit passwords, payment-card credentials or unnecessary sensitive information through the general project enquiry form.

12

13

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law, this website is provided on an "as available" basis for general informational and communication purposes.

HDL does not guarantee that every item of website content will always be complete, current, error-free or suitable for every visitor's particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, obligations or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, HDL will not be responsible for losses arising solely from reliance on general website information where project-specific professional advice or verification was reasonably required.

HDL will also not be responsible for interruptions or failures caused entirely by third-party infrastructure, communications networks or events outside HDL's reasonable control, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful.

15

Electronic Communications

When you submit an online enquiry, send HDL an email or otherwise communicate with us electronically, you consent to communicating through electronic means for purposes connected with that communication.

Formal project notices, contractual communications or legally significant documents may be subject to separate requirements established in the relevant agreement or by applicable law.

16

Changes to These Terms

HDL may update these Terms when the website, our operations, applicable law or the services offered through the website change.

The updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

Continued use of the website after an update means the updated Terms will apply to your subsequent use of the website, subject to applicable law.

17

Governing Law

These website Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Uganda, subject to any mandatory rights or legal protections that may apply in another jurisdiction.

Any dispute relating specifically to a professional engagement, construction project, software subscription or other commercial arrangement may instead be governed by the dispute-resolution and governing-law provisions of the relevant agreement.
